Redeeming The Time: Reflections on Psalm 90

$0.00

Time is a subject of concern and interest to all men, and one about which the Scriptures are not silent. Time is the Creator’s gift to mankind, and for the duration of his life, a man shares an equal daily allotment of this gift with all his fellowmen. In the day of judgment that is coming, He will render an account to the Judge, the Lord Jesus Christ, for his stewardship of this gift, as well as for his acceptance or rejection of the gospel.

Here is a timely reminder that we were not created to do merely as we please, but we were created for a specific purpose—to bring glory and honor unto God with our time. So the question for each of us today is: do we use our time wisely to build up the kingdom of God, or do we squander the gift of time in selfish pursuits? May our attitude regarding time reflect that of Jonathan Edwards who once wrote, “Resolved, never to lose one moment of time; but improve it the most profitable way I possibly can.”
