Second Quarterly Report First Love Ministry Nagaland, India.
April to June 2024
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I wish you joy and peace. I trust in the Lord to guide me through my challenges, and I believe He will carry me through. It’s been six months since I started my ministry in NE India, and I’m confident that, through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the support of FirstLove Ministry, I’ll accomplish even greater things in the future. I’m grateful for their support.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve been meeting with pastors and church leaders, promoting Grace Bible University (GBU) programs. Many have expressed interest in joining, particularly from Assam and Manipur, and some from Nagaland have also responded positively. My tasks include mobilizing students for the GBU program and establishing the Nagaland Reformed Baptist Church in Dimapur. Recently, I had a meeting with friends who support my mobilization efforts, including Rev JB Gurung, Ps Tika Rai, Ps Shyam Gurung, and brother DB Biswa at his residence. We discussed ways to move forward.
Grace Biblical University (GBU) and Nagaland Reformed Baptist Church Inauguration Report:
After two postponements due to India’s general election and Dr. Samuel Rai’s busy schedule, the inauguration finally took place on July 2, 2024. I travelled to Nepal to meet Dr. Samuel Rai and finalize the date. We decided to hold the inauguration on June 28, 2024, later rescheduled to July 2, 2024, due to Dr. Samuel Rai’s birthday celebrations.
The GBU inauguration program began at 10 am on July 2, 2024, at Bethlehem Church, Dimapur, Nagaland. About 50 people attended, including 26 students. Rev. Dr. Santabir Rai and Dr. Jeeten Gajmer exhorted us with challenging words. Dr. Rev Samuel Rai, the chief guest, spoke on the importance of studying scripture (2 Timothy 3:16) and introduced GBU, its curriculum, and benefits. The program ended with a mass prayer and a scrumptious lunch prepared by the Bethlehem Church mothers’ group.
The Nagaland Reformed Baptist Fellowship (NRBF) was also inaugurated on the same day at 3 pm at Signal Angami Village. The program was led by Tek Gurung, Evangelist, FirstLove Ministry Nagaland. Evan. Ramesh Tamang, GBU Co-Ordinator Nepal, exhorted the believers through a powerful message on prayer. Pastor K.B. Thapa encouraged us through a hymn and a Bible verse (Matthew 18:20). Kumar Subba, President of Gorkha Union, shared his personal testimony and faith in God. Dr. Samuel Rai shared about the church, leadership, and Reformed Baptist Church history. He offered a dedicatory prayer for Evangelist Tek Gurung and his wife Grace Rai Gurung. About 30 believers attended the dedication program, which concluded with a hymn, mass prayer, and light refreshments.
Financial Report:
We are grateful to have received a donation of Rs. 4,870 (Rupees four thousand eight hundred seventy only) from well-wishers and believers.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
The newly established Nagaland Reformed Baptist fellowship needs additional furniture, equipment and supplies to continue the church ministry. Do kindly remember in your prayer.
“For the ministry of this service (giving) is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgiving to God.” 2Corinthians 9:12.
In His Service,
Evan.Tek Gurung,

East Nepal Grace Bible University Report
Progress Update from East Nepal, Morang
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I’m delighted to share the progress of GBU in East Nepal, where classes have been ongoing since January 2024. Initially, 18 students joined, and we’re encouraged to see new students enrolling, with plans to add more. Our students, many of whom have limited literacy skills, are learning from the book of Bible Catechism. We’re committed to teaching them in a way that’s easy to understand.
Nepal’s churches are growing rapidly, but many pastors and leaders are laymen. We believe GBU will equip them with biblical sound doctrine, enabling them to share it with their congregations. In fact, our students have already begun teaching and preaching in their churches what they’ve learned in GBU classes.
We’re excited to report that the construction of the GBU Training Centre building in East Nepal is underway. The first floor is nearing completion, and we expect the project to be finished within a few months.
Your prayer support is invaluable to us. Thank you for your partnership in this ministry.
Sincerely,
Ramesh Tamang
