Christ personified as Wisdom, promises those who love Him, “I will fill their treasures” (Prov. 8:21). The riches of His grace are “unsearchable” (Eph 3:8), and in Him are “hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3). He is the glory of his people, for He is made of God unto them, “wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption” (1 Cor. 1:30). To them He is “all, and in all” (Col. 3:11), and every Christian desire to know him better. The portions of scripture expounded in this volume from both Old and New Testaments will be aids to this endeavor, for they are as a cup which “runneth over” (Psa. 23:5), to fill the heart of the believer with His goodness.
